The Brevard Youth Chorus has been performing since 2004. The chorus offers a unique musical and educational experience in a group setting. Members are selected by audition and rehearse and perform from September through May. A treble chorus of children in the fourth to tenth grades, children from all over Brevard County are welcome to audition. The chorus performs throughout the year at various venues. The Brevard Youth Chorus is directed by Beth Green.

The Brevard Youth Chorus exists to teach children to achieve high artistic standards through choral singing and performance. An equally important aspect of the Chorus is the nurturing and growth of discipline, responsibility, teamwork and self-confidence. We expect to achieve this goal and will strive to make Brevard Youth Chorus one of the finest children's programs which will benefit each child for their entire life.

Requirements for Performing Members
Membership in the Chorus is open to boys and girls who will be in grades 4-10 for the current school year. We are looking for singers from public, private, charter, and home-school settings. Children from all economic and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Prior singing experience is not required.
Membership Qualifications
Sing with a clear tone to blend well with others
Sing in tune
Demonstrate a good sense of rhythm
Self-disciplined and attentive behavior
Positive attitude
Commit to a one-year membership

The singer is expected to respect others and the property of the chorus.
Attendance at rehearsals for special concerts and programs is essential.
Each person who becomes a member is expected to respect the effort necessary
to become an exemplary performing arts chorus.
